Why IndigoNaturals CBD Isolate?

Let's break this into parts which follows the typical journey a person follows on their discovery of CBD.

We remember when we first heard of CBD from a friend of ours and there were plenty of mis-steps along the way and a boat load of bad information (and product) out there!

There's the typical winding path to clarity:

  • Why use CBD?
  • Why CBD Isolate (as opposed to full or broad spectrum)
  • Why Indigo Naturals

Give us 5 minutes and we'll close the doors on each of these. Unless, you want to read the 100's of deep research guides we have across the site that is! 🙂

cbd pathways

Let's get started!

Why CBD?

We have a big review on what CBD is and how it works in the body but we'll boil it down here.

It's actually not too complicated!

Our modern issues are generally centered around imbalance in one system or another.

  • Anxiety or depression? Neurotransmitters and inflammation (immune system)
  • Sleep issues? Histamine, inflammation, and more
  • Pain? Inflammation and pain sensitivity systems (serotonin and opioid systems)
  • Gut issues? Gut bacteria, inflammation
  • Out of Control Stress? Cortisol, Adrenaline, inflammation more

You can zero down to exact pathways (like serotonin or GABA) and we do that in detail but let's cut to the chase.

Your body has an entire network called the endocannabinoid system which is tasked with balancing every other system when "out-of-whack"!

It's called into action as needed everywhere around the body.

For example…if you get a bee sting, the body violently reacts to this with histamine and inflammation (plus a dose of pain!).

After the danger has passed, the inflammatory agents need to switch to repair and building around the site of the sting. This is still the immune system by the way.

You can't just keep in a state of heightened immune response (hello MCAS!!).

An endocannabinoid called Anandamide (our so-called "bliss" molecule) ramps up to calm down the inflammation response.

When complete, it turns back off again. Think of it as an on-call "firetruck" of calm, repair, and balance throughout the body.

So…what's CBD's role?

CBD is also an endocannabinoid which we get from the hemp plant. Its special gift is simple.

It supports the endocannabinoid system when it's exhausted!

For example, CBD blocks FAAH which is tasked with breaking down anandamide!

There are people walking the Earth who genetically can't make FAAH. They are incapable of feeling pain, anxiety, inflammation, etc.

It's very rare because it turns out it's hard to survive if you can't feel pain.

CBD just bolsters this system and why would that be important these days?

Our systems are over-run by stress, inflammation, trauma, chemicals, etc.

We weren't designed to come in contact with the chemicals in our environment, water, and food not to mention many of our medications.

Glyphosate. Micro-plastics. Hormone disrupters. Spike proteins. Take your pick.

Now add on stress, trauma, and infection...even early in life and well....that's where we are tday.  We have massive reviews on this whole process with 100's of NIH studies to back it up.

Here's the important piece that leads us to the next section.

The enemy of ALL supplements and medication (plus every drug out there like cannabis and alcohol) is… Tolerance!

Let's go there now to understand why CBD Isolate is such a better option.

Why CBD Isolate (as opposed to full or broad spectrum)

CBD Isolate is just CBD by itself. We'll explain below why the means of extraction is SO important but for now, let's focus on the next big question that hits everyone new to CBD.

CBD Isolate versus Full or Broad Spectrum.

We have entire reviews on this question since it's so frustrating how much misinformation is out there.

Full or broad spectrum generally means that CBD is available along with hemp plant material and/or other cannabinoids (CBN, CBG, Delta8, small, allowed amounts of THC).

The reason we love CBD (based on 1000's of hours of research) is that it doesn't build tolerance.

When you take anything that hits a pathway like a hammer, the body panics. With more use, it will start to compensate for that effect.

tolerance drugs and supplements that push in one direction

For example, benzos spike GABA, our brain's brake pedal.

Within 2 weeks, the nervous system will actually start to reduce the number and sensitivity of GABA receptors to offset this! That's going the wrong way.

It will even start to jack up glutamate (the gas pedal) as well. That's why people who stop cold turkey can have seizures!

This is separate from addiction which is driven by dopamine spiking but good luck dropping the said chemical without feeling horrible.

Now apply this same effect to:

  • Serotonin, our "Feel right in our skin" pathway - SSRIs, alcohol, etc
  • Pain - opioids, NSAIDs, etc
  • Endocannabinoid system - THC, CBN, Delta8

Did you catch the last one?

Yes…THC and some of its cousins in the hemp plant can actually create tolerance in the very system we're trying to bolster!

CBD doesn't.

The other big issue that NO ONE is talking about revolves around histamine and inflammation generally.

Did you notice something strange up above when we talked about systems which are imbalanced?

Inflammation sure did come up quite a bit. Check out why the immune system is the future of mental health!

Histamine (think allergic reaction) is just the forward guard of our inflammatory pathway.

If you're drawn to CBD generally, you probably have an inflammation issue somewhere.

The last thing you want to do in this state is throw a bunch of room temperature plant material (full or broad spectrum CBD) into the mix.

Trust us on this or better yet…read the reviews from actual customers.

CBD in MCT oil from organic CBD with 3rd party testing is literally the best design for these issues.

Histamine is excitatory in the brain (it manages the "wake" cycle) so we may be causing more issues in the very pathway we're trying to correct.

Big reviews on histamine and CBD or full spectrum versus isolate but save yourself some suffering and test CBD isolate versus ANY of the full spectrum brands.

We already covered why the "Entourage Effect" which is used to "sell" full spectrum actually comes from CBD's ability to counter the negatives of THC. Go figure.

Don't get us started on Delta8 (more here) or CBN that everyone's pushing. Good luck with the slow erosion of your endocannabinoid system sensitivity over time.

So…two sections down and you're still with us! Finally, let's speak to the many options you have for CBD isolate and share a little secret with you.

Why Indigo Naturals

First, there are basics that any CBD isolate must have:

  • Grown and processed in the USA (so much bad product from China)
  • CO2 Cold Processed (bookmark this for later - it's the deciding factor)
  • 3rd Party Tested:
  • No pesticides
  • No residual solvents
  • No mold
  • No heavy metals (must have)
  • No bacteria

Those are the essentials in our books. Just MUST HAVE! The panels by batch are expensive so not everyone does it but they are deal breakers. Our panels are available here!

So…with this, we know we have a clean product but there's something else to discuss.

The CO2 cold processing is a critical piece!

We'll occasionally test different providers of CBD oil to see what's out there.

Without fail, they don't compare to our supplier (who is more expensive but worth it).

The CBD just "feels different". There's a warm calming effect that comes with it. Our founder, Dre, is one of those lucky (or unfortunate) souls that feels EVERYTHING.

Call it "sensitive". Call it what you like but she can literally tell the difference between different CBD isolates.

Downside is she feels medications, supplements, etc like they're hammers which is part of why we found CBD to begin with (check out her story).

Here's the issue. It's really hard to process CBD isolate the right way if you're doing really large quantities.

It's just too slow and expensive to reproduce our supplier's small-batch processing.

So…most CBD brands use high heat which speeds up the process and greatly reduces the cost. It's the equivalent of modern factory farms versus local, small-scale organic.

We've spoken with people deep in the industry and even though the net result is "CBD isolate", the heat does something to the final product. Even if they're not using the nasty butane or hexane to remove CBD (which is a whole other, nasty story).

That's the long of it. The short of it??? Test our CBD versus any other brand out there. It's that simple.

Use the FIRST30 discount to make this easier but you'll quickly be able to tell the difference.

We have multiple ways to save up 50% off CBD which you can learn about here but we try to offer the best cost per MG of CBD on the market!

Now…as for research to back all this up, click on the hour glass up top and search based on what you're interested in. We. Go. Deep.

In fact, our entire process and product is based on research.

That's the IndigoNaturals difference! Enjoy. And be well!
